I am also wondering about this. I am using the Belief theme. Is there a simple way to do this that I am missing? I've searched and played with settings with no luck so far.

    Ah, ha... Figured it out.

This can be done via the existing widgets areas using the widgets option but they don't display vertically in doing that. However, the widgets area has a sections for custom menus which got me playing with those...

    The solution:

If you make a custom menu with your pages that you need displayed and then set it as "top menu" in the theme location area there on the menu page, save... then go to the theme template editor and edit the navigation area making it also "top menu" it works.

With Tripod I've had trouble getting the Theme to recognize the "centered menu with logo" or any of the menu setting - www.izabelabreu.com.br...  Basically not able to create a Menu that has Pages, or even control the order of Category Posts ... I create them but the Tripod dose not seem to save it.

Could this be because of the style.css and the fact I installed the entire zip provided without taking the step of uploading just the "Tripod" folder?  I'm happy to re-install, but would rather not loose all the work put in so far it if is not going to solve the issue.

I'll try playing with what you tried in the Belief theme ... wish me luck... Thanks

I can't seem to get it to work - there is some problem with 'saving' it - it will work in the preview of the Appearance > Customize

See here I can chose to use it in the customize view, but after clicking "save & publish' nothing happens - it will not save it.

I can't believe how much time I've spent on this, what a waste - where is the support!!!
